#13
- Steve Friebe - Masters / Pro Open
Steve was born and raised in Saint Cloud, Minnesota.
He started his career in the Motorsports industry as a technician
at a
Honda, John Deere dealer back in 1978.
In 1982, he left the cold country to move to sunny California.
To this day he is still employed at Clawson Motorsports, the
same shop that he started at when
he got to California. He puts it this way, “I am sure glad I don’t
have to go to work every day, I just get to go play, learn and have a good time.”
Steve started racing jet skis back in 1999 and was hooked immediately. He joined
the crew at Noble Racing in 2005. The long races are his favorite because of
all the additional requirements like perfect fuel stops, quick rider changes
and a good strategy.
He says, ”The best part about racing is all the great people you get to
meet and hang out with.” His most prized accomplishment was winning the
Mark Hahn Memorial 300 mile race in 2006. One of his remaining goals is to win
the Long Beach to Catalina race, his best finish so far has been a third place.
Steve is married to his wife Gail and has a 19 year old daughter named Bailey.

Amy
Green - Pro Womens / Pro Open
Amy
is a 5" 2' inch ball of fire, from Bay City, Michigan and
recently moved to southern California.
She's a graduate of Michigan State with degree in logistics.
While at MSU, Amy competed on the equestrian team.
So one might believe that competition comes natural to Amy.
During the 90's she was climbing into the cabs of semi-trucks and drag racing
big rigs. Most recently, Amy has been active
in PWC racing where she has compiled quite a number of accomplishments, such
as: |
- 3 time
IJSBA C.C. Pro-Womens 1200 LTD world champion
- 2 time APBA Supercourse
Pro-Women 1200SS national champion
- 2 time APBA CC
Pro-Women 1200 LTD national champion
- 2 time APBA CC
Veterrans 1200 SS national champion
- 1 time APBA Team
Endurance national 4 stroke stock champion
|
As one
can see, Amy isn't one to shy away from competing against the
men either, as she races both in the Open Pro and Veteran class
which are predominantly male
dominent classes. Amy feels her most significant accomplishment was the 2005
World Finals, winning the Pro-Womens championship and finishing
second in the mens
veterans 1200SS and Expert 1200LTD classes.
Amy first joined the Noble Racing Team in 2005 for the Supercourse national,
winning the Pro-Womens title and returned again in 2006 to win the Pro-Womens
title again.
Amy has the perverbial "eye of the tiger" when
it comes
to
racing and winning, say's team manager Larry Ham. |
